Released Today, Cover Reveal

India’s first gay Olympic gold is not the news headline Saaransh wanted to make. Losing his family and his job is hard. But badminton? That’s not something he will give up. Not even for Brendon. Unless he finds the courage to keep them both.

‘SHY’ is a ~77,000-word contemporary romance novel with gay protagonists that will appeal to the LGBTQ community and romance readers in the YA and NA segments.

Saaransh’s greatest love is badminton. His dream is to win an Olympic Gold for India. But he harbors another secret desire. Live as his true gay self. He can’t exactly come out and embrace his reality in a country that still considers non-heterosexual relationships as unnatural and illegal. Not if he wants to win that precious yellow medal.

London Olympics, 2012, presents him with a perfect opportunity to achieve his dreams. While the world is chasing the athletes and stars of more popular sports, Saaransh uses his anonymity to live the gay life for one night. However, he did not count on meeting Brendon, the burly Australian proud gay rugby star.

Romance and love are complicated when trying to keep the closet closed and the person prancing around in your dreams outs you to the world.

You lose your family, job, your dignity, and because of cowardice, the only chance at happiness.

Can Saaransh become the person he should be? A sports star who can lead the way for LGBTQ rights in India. World no. 1, who can help provide visibility to the queer community in India? Most of all, will Saaransh become strong enough to confront the world and find a way to Brendon.

1. Strong Woman

Dear Strong Woman!

If you are strong, It’s not your fault!

But do not let others use you in the name of strength, tolerance, and patience.

Be it in common relation with friends, colleagues, romantic, or any other form.

You are strong, and you might find it normal or can tolerate the unnecessary ego and drama in your relations, but If you allow them to get away with it once, you are telling them they can get away with it every time.

It is a harsh experience for several strong girls, and more friction comes from their family members or guardians. Sometimes from parents too!

So, I hope you understand the importance of raising your voice!

2. Strong Woman, Strong Man

It might seem like they are made for each other initially, but it is not after some months.

A Strong woman, who is emotionally, & financially independent, will struggle to figure out a balance of power over her partner because he doesn’t want to feel weak. He wants her to be submissive because of his strength. So he continues his attempts to claim dominance in their relationship.

Girls are taught to be a caretaker, and compassionate women, who have to sacrifice their will & desire for their partner.

So, she ended up struggling more.

3. Strong woman with an Average man

No matter how successful or independent they are, women become victims of their idea of a perfect fairytale life, while men often become abusive to overcome their insecurities.

Such Men can repeatedly humiliate you in front of their friends, family members, relatives, or any 3rd person.

So, she ended up struggling more.

4. Imbalance in Personality and Relationships

When people have a good image in the outside society, their only space to let out imperfection is their own home.

So, If he is a nice guy to society, he’ll let out all his frustration at home. He can be violent beyond expectation.

He gets violent if women do not work according to his will, demand, habits, taste, and control.

So, she ended up struggling more.

5. Why strong girls fall for bad boys

Women feel that bad boys (not in the sense of character or criminal-minded person) will protect them from the outside world.

Why does it happen?

Even the most intelligent girl can lose her mind to her heart

Results

Such men take advantage of the vulnerability of women who crave a home, family, and other domestic bliss.

So, she ended up struggling more.

6. Why does a man go for a woman who does not use her brain much

If a man is wise, the lady feels proud of his man.

But, if the lady is wise, a man does not always feel proud. She becomes a new competition for his mind. And he might get insecure, or he will start looking for other flaws in her. This will imbalance the relationship.

Men are strong, intelligent, and imaginative, while women are physically weak and known for not-so-wise decisions or often emotional decisions.

All relationships go through cycles and phases. The honeymoon period doesn’t last forever. Work stress and family obligations can get in the way.

And in all this, he would not like an interruption from the woman, who would like to create mental pressure on him.

So, they go for women who do not use their brains much.

Women let men work for them, think for them, and take on their responsibilities. When a man feels like a king, at least in front of his woman, it boosts his ego.

So, a man goes for a woman who does not use her brain much.

If she is smart, she doesn’t use it much in front of her man intentionally. If she used it, she ended up struggling more.

7. Myth of beauty

People say that beauty will help you to keep your man in place. And they define beauty as a beautiful face and a perfect body figure.

Poets and sometimes Inspirational & motivational writers tell you that outer beauty doesn’t matter.

Which is nowhere the complete truth.

The beauty of thought and inner beauty also matter, along with outer beauty.

Ignoring a significant factor is like missing an essential element in the Science lab, whose output will be unexpected.

The fact is:

Where the beauty of the face can help with short-term satisfaction.

It’s the beauty of thoughts (compatibility) and inner beauty (purity of heart) that helps keep the relationship in place for the long term.

And all three are essential in the necessary ratio!

8. How wicked women are good at tuning men on their fingers

Have you ever wondered why most men prefer the nastier girl to date?

She is clever and wicked. Who is innocent, beautiful, and glamorous by her face and looks for the outside world. Who can be dangerous & devil by heart?

According to psychologists and therapists, such women have had unfortunate learning experiences, especially about men. So, they developed a manipulative approach to dominate and control the men around them.

They understand how much a man will surrender to pursue sexual access.

They understand how to make him feel that there is no friction and that the man controls the relationship.

There are so many secrets only they can understand and know about men, along with the therapists and relationship counselors.

Ultimately, a man does not feel safe to show his vulnerability for one or more reasons to their partner, who deserves it. And wicked women ended up tuning them.

So, a strong woman ended up suffering.

Book Title: Shuttler's Flick - Making every match count
Pullela Gopichand with Priya Kumar
Author: Priya Kumar

This book is about Gopi Sir's philosophy of life and about winning. It can inspire you to lift yourself in challenging times when you don't need anyone to console & lift you.

Shuttler's Flick: Pullela Gopichand with Priya Kumar

Book Review

This story is inspired by actual life incidents and more than that, and it is based on the life Journey of Gopi (Badminton player and coach).

He decided to keep playing when he felt the twist in his leg at an awkward angle. And the second fall detached his knee and ankle. People thought it was the end of his career.

The sad part of life is - When you fall, No one waits for you to come back or supports you. People move ahead without you or even thinking about you.

This story describes the theme on which the book is based. Later, why you should give your attention to this story.
(Of course, there is a big reason. Big injury, falling of career, passion, fire, grit, mental toughness, and much more to bring the life of a champion to even normal one). And then his establishments, achievements, coaching, the success of students, and much more. The rest is history.

The narration style is fantastic. The words create and ignite the fire in the heart and mind. No, it's not about motivation. But they kindle the fire of passion—a fire to give a proper direction to your mindset, passion, purpose, dreams, and goals.

21 Best Lifehacks by Monika Singh

There is a small picture album about some of the emotional and significant achievements of Gopi & his life. Marriage, accomplishments, academy, his students' achievements, etc.) It creates a more personal touch & the book story connects like we feel connected to video movies.

Each chapter ends with highlights of Your Serve and Your Solitude, your truth. Giving it a more simple touch and credibility.

I will keep talking about the insights in the upcoming days. They are so amazing you would like to highlight almost every second or third passage.

I have read four books by Priya Kumar. And whenever I read a new book she wrote, I feel amazed & a Stronger connection with her voice. And yet surprised by how she manages to write and give the proper flow in narration.

What I like: Narration style, importance, the story, the spark of passion, and much more. I don't know if we can observe a movie or series about the same.

Recommended: I would like to recommend this book to every individual who feels that their career is ended or their dreams & goals are shattered despite of being so many skills, higher education, capability, and much more.

Thanks to Priya Kumar for this beautiful book & Amazing Story!

I want to ask you to propose this book for your Passion and give it a space in your bookshelf, mind, and life!

Against Time & Destiny

Book Review

This story breaks with the conversation between Pihu & Rhimjhim (her cow) in the hills & forests. Pihu and Samarth are the main characters of the story.

Pihu is a 22-year-old girl who lost touch with her Baba (father). Eight years ago, he said unfinished goodbye to them. He used to talk on phone calls on weekends with his family. It was limited to once a month & then disappeared in the last six years. Since then, Pihu has wandered in the green lands with her Rhimjhim. She takes her to several places to explore the world, Adventure & dangers.

Pihu and her family were shocked to hear that She was announced as the nominee for a 50 lakh INR property of her father. And Samarth visited here for project purposes.

In the journey of verifying documents, they are facing & observing the bad side of each other for the wrong reasons.

21 Best Lifehacks by Monika Singh

Pihu is hard-working, but she is from a poor background. It reminds Samarth of his childhood days, which connects them. He likes the nurturing quality in her.

Samarth is a Rich boy, and he does not know how to have empathy or nurture. Instead, he loves to break.

He convinced Pihu that he would help her to search for her disappeared father. She ended up observing at least something good in him.

The story is about trying to tie a knot between 2 people who are opposite.

She has fallen in love and shared her world with him. Unfortunately, something happened! Probably every girl is afraid of it.

She is amazed to see another side of Samarth. He was in despair, broken because of his past life & wounds.

She was helping him to heal slowly. He was breaking her in return. He was shattering her faith, love, & eventually, their relationship.

One day, they were separated by destiny. She was feeling betrayed! The man she was trying to love broke her. Her heart is now full of hate.

What happened that night?
What is the climax of the story?
Are they seeking revenge, or can they mend their relationship again?

You can read the book to learn more about the story and what happened next!

What I like:
The narration is smooth. It is based on some ground facts related to the culture of Indian families and the difference between rich & poor backgrounds. Along with it, the story's theme is connected well, and the flow gives a feel of the movie running in mind.

Recommended: Though I am a girl who has never fallen in love. I believe more in reality & real life. And I do not want to niche it down to limited people just because of the point that I have never experienced such incidences. However, I can not recommend it to hopeless romantic people who are too crazy or possessive about love.
