Have you ever read the books which are based in future time period. Like which predicts what is going to happen in the upcoming years. If yes, the you might find this post really interesting. But if not, then it is totally fine. And you can give a try to this post, for the reading taste.

Features and details of the book!
Book Title: 2034
Author Name: Bruno Beaches
Format: Kindle, Paperback

Book Review by Monika

In the narration of the story, there is another narrator. Samantha - the Queen of storytelling, who is in her mid 40s. She was a teacher in her young days. Almost the whole society, the people who are living there with almost 10 years now trust on each other because of the shared hardship, and much more. It is the evening time & she is going to tell a story to the kids. As parents of these kids believe in the integrity of Samantha.

This story is set in the future time period and it is about the 2034. 2034 means year 2034, 12 years ahead of 2022. Including the description of mid years. Like 2023, 2024, up to 2034. Along with it, it is description of what happened in the quarantine, situations of human & society, unwanted chemical effects, the sudden changes it brought, etc.

This story is full of suspense, mystery and some unbelievable worries, describing about how artificial food is now a strong need, why it is important to maintain the social distance, there are driverless vehicles, destruction, and the human life is now dependent on the chemicals to save them themselves from chemicals. They are now in a cage, but they have the freedom to do what ever they want inside it. What an irony life plays. Is not it?

Secure zones are created, so that people can save their lives. No additional help of extra & important facilities is there. People are trying to build other communities in the woods and wild, and much more is there.

Basically, story of this book revolves around the destruction, how natural life is adversely affected, how the life of several human beings is in the danger.

What I like: I appreciate the efforts of the Author for the narration style, for imagination, and how wonderfully he crafted the story of destruction in 2034.

Triggered Emotions: I would not like to say anything about story plot, because deep involvement in it can affect someone badly. Like, if you are already depressed or could not stand up with the stories of vast destruction, I can not recommend you this. But this does not mean that you can not read it. Thanks for understanding!

Recommended: If you like thriller, mystery related to destruction, you can go for it.

If you love it, feel free to share it with those who love to read mystery & thriller stories. Thank you for stopping by! Let me know something interesting you have found in this blog post, in the comments.

Book Title: The Curse of Kukkutarma

Author: Prateep Roy

Genre: Science fiction + Mythology

Book Review

The story starts with - punishing the students of class 10th, by a harsh nature teacher. The reason behind punishment is - Someone split the ink on Shirt of a simple & humble teacher. But such hard punishment was prohibited in the school.

The Principal of school, was passing nearby, and he Observed the teacher punishing the Kid. He asked him to stop it.

Later, Principal Mr. Brown asked the little boy about his introduction. He introduced himself as Opamanyu Sen. And his mother called him Opu with Love. He is from 6th standard, but he was in the class 10th, as he was aware about the stuff which teachers were teaching in 6th standard.

When he visited to his home, her mother Observed her hand was badly hurt, and she asked him about the reasons. His father Mr. Dwarkanath was trustee of that school. And he said to stop funding the school.

Suddenly, Mr. Father Brown visited to their home and informed his Dad that, they have suspended that teacher for such Karma. Along with it, he told his parents that their son is Prodigy. He has extraordinary skills. His mind is sharp and ahead of the children of his age.

The discussion goes on, and he asked them to reflect over his studies and take suggestions from Jagdish Chandra Bose (1st Indian Scientist, who got Patent).

Later, he was sent to London for his education. His father has now high expectations like miracles from his son, as everyone in the surrounding was saying he is brilliant & extraordinary.

During that year, World War 1 broken out, and it effected a lot of things.

Though, Opu met Isla and his brother, and tried to execute his ideas and plans with them. This is how, they were able to start the preparation of Atityan (a project for spacecraft model). And all 3 were lost in the project deeply.

This book has a blend of history, mythology, science fiction; hand in hand. The story plot is based in the 1900s and revolves around the prodigy kid Opu and his brilliance about interest in Time traveling.

His dream of inventing a time machine, which can help him to travel back in the past, and met the Bhisma of Mahabharata, and why he died, even when he was blessed by boon.

This led him to take his ideas and interest seriously.

My take on Narration:

The Narration could have been more smooth, if a lot of details (explanation of ancient history details) could have been provided in the end, instead of starting and in mid of chapters.

Along, with it, as the book is fiction, so there is not a greater role of research done by Author. Though it's doing great on research based part.

What I Like: I like the theme line & blend of history and mythology, along with the prodigy of Opu.

Recommended: If you like books based on science fiction + Mythology, you may also like this one.
